Your research is groundbreaking. Your communications should be too.
Your Work Deserves to Be Understood.
I help universities, government organizations, and nonprofits close the gap between the work they're doing and the audience it deserves through strategy, design, and digital systems built for the public sector.
The work is strong. So why isn't it landing?
Most research communications don’t fail because the ideas aren’t good enough. They fail because the strategy, design, and systems aren’t there to support them.
Your grant deck isn’t telling the story it needs to. Your email list isn’t converting. Decision-makers aren’t engaging with your data. Your landing page loses people in thirty seconds.
This isn’t a credibility problem. It’s a communications problem. And it’s exactly what I do.

Hello. My Name Is Aysha
I work with a small number of clients at a time — universities, federal and provincial government bodies, and nonprofits working on issues that matter. Not because I can’t scale, but because focused attention is the whole point.
My background spans academic research, government communications, and digital strategy. I know what it takes to make complex work legible to the people who need to fund it, champion it, and act on it.
Based in Edmonton, Alberta. Serving institutions across Canada and North America.
A rare mix of Academic and Design Chops.
What I bring that Most Consultants Don't
Most communications consultants are generalists who learn your world as they go. I bring something harder to find. over a decade of hands-on graphic design and marketing experience, combined with a background built specifically around academic institutions and mission-driven organizations
I know your world from the inside
A Master's in Digital Humanities and over a decade working inside academic and public sector institutions means I don't need a briefing on how your world works. I already understand how funding decisions get made, how institutional stakeholders think, and why so much research communication fails before it reaches the people it's meant to reach.
I design for outcomes, not aesthetics
Good design in your field isn't about looking impressive. It's about making a reviewer's decision easier, making a funder's confidence higher, and making a complex argument feel inevitable. Every design decision I make is working toward a specific result not just filling space on a page.
You Get One Person, Not a team of strangers.
No account managers. No handoffs. No junior staff interpreting your brief two steps removed from the person who took it. You work directly with me from the first conversation to the final file.
